Paris – большая выставка Claude Monet – октябрь 2010 – февраль 2011

Claude Monet is one of France’s best known and most loved artists. Monet’s experiments on light and color led him to become one of the founding fathers of the 19th century Impressionist movement. This autumn, the Grand Palais is presenting «Claude Monet 1840-1926,» the greatest retrospective of Monet’s works ever assembled, including 200 works from various French museums as well as collections for around the globe. This exhibit is considered the best and most awaited temporary exhibit this fall in Paris.

The exhibit aims to chronicle the whole span of Monet’s 60-year artistic career. At a young age, Monet expressed an interest in art and was enrolled in an arts high school while his family was living in the Northern port of Le Havre. The seaside would later feature in his work.
